More than half of all child deaths are associated with malnutrition which weakens child’s body resistance to illness. One of the reasons for this is inadequate care of mother or caregiver in the nutritional health of the child. This includes feeding nutritious food which is an integral part in caring for infants and young children. Appropriate feeding practices would not just improve children’s health but also would promote bonding with caregiver and psychosocial development. In relation to this, part of our objective during this exposure is to conduct mother’s class to help the mother prepare nutritious food for their children. The group headed by Llean Danica Santos conducted a health teaching on proper nutrition and demonstrated how to make a Kalabasa Patty.
